Britany (BCash) Cashatt

Britany Cashatt, who also goes by BCash, is excited to be the Associate Director for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Resource Center at Syracuse University. Prior to working at SU, BCash worked as the Program Coordinator at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Resource Center at the University of California- Irvine. BCash has worked in a variety of student affairs departments, including New Student Orientation, Housing and Residential Education, and Student Conduct. BCash received their B.A. in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing Poetry and a minor in LGBT studies from California State University San Bernardino. BCash then received their M.Ed. with an emphasis in Student Development Administration from Seattle University.     

BCash grew up in East County San Diego and was the first in their family to attend college. They have a passion for supporting and developing Queer and Transgender college students while intentionally focusing on their multiple intersecting identities. BCash is passionate about social change, liberation work, identity development, and engaging white folks in racial justice. BCash has experience teaching a first-year life skills course, facilitating courageous conversation spaces, and leading LGBTQ+ ally and social justice trainings for colleges, high schools, and professional companies. 

When BCash is not working, they enjoy practicing yoga and meditating, finding new spots to try a good chia tea latte, listening to spoken word poetry, horseback riding, and exploring Central New York’s beautiful parks with their golden retriever, Kai.  BCash is thrilled to be joining the LGBT RC and SU team, Please stop by anytime to say hello!
