Jesica Norman is excited to be the Graduate Assistant in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Resource Center. Jesica is in her second year at Syracuse University where she is pursuing a Master’s of Science in Higher Education. Jesica is passionate about supporting, educating and empowering students through her pursuit of Law in Higher Education.

Prior to working at Syracuse University, Jesica received a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Arizona State University where she also studied Arabic culture and language. Jesica then worked in a variety of professional experiences within Residence Life at the University of Colorado, Boulder and Syracuse University. Through this work, she oversaw a Global Studies and Honors Residential Academic Program community in both primarily first-year and mixed population communities. Previously, engaging students with intentional leadership development, and purposeful umbrella institutional community efforts to cultivate unified campus spirit, pride, and tradition. Working in the LGBT Resource Center, Jesica is excited about helping create more inclusive communities, policies, and practices on campus and engaging in dialogue around marginalized genders and sexualities and the intersections therein. 

When Jesica (or Jes) is not working, she enjoys community service, Boba tea, a great movie, video games, or an insightful book. Look forward to connecting with everyone this year!
