Jo is the Program Coordinator for the LGBT Resource Center. They previously took classes in Syracuse University's Higher Education program and served as the Graduate Assistant for the LGBT RC for the 2017-2018 school year. During this time, they co-facilitated Fusion, a discussion group for queer and trans people of color, lead trainings and workshops, and planned events such as the HoliGay and Trans Day of Liberation 2018. Jo’s current work with the center includes event planning, advising Embody, a discussion group for transgender/non-binary/gender non-conforming people, and overseeing the Center's student employees.

Prior to arriving in Syracuse, they attended Cornell University, where they received their Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in diversity education and minors in Business and Asian American Studies. They are passionate about working with queer college students and students of color and focus their work on intersectionality and bettering the college experience for those with marginalized identities. Outside of work, they enjoy playing the flute, binging food shows on Netflix, geeking out over the history of glass, and Studio Ghibli movies.
