Alex Middleton, Student Assistant

Hey, y'all! My name is Alex Middleton and I'm passionate about my major, Speech Language Pathology. I also hope to minor in LGBT studies and Spanish. My personal interests include social justice, sports (playing, not watching), learning random and completely useless skills, volunteer work, and knitting. I was born and raised in San Diego, so you may see me popping up and squealing in the center at any sign of weather (everything is so exciting!). My goal is to be approachable, and I have been told by strangers that I have a good ~vibe~, so feel free to stop by and strike up a conversation with me at the Resource Center!

Alejandro J. Abreu, Student Assistant

Hey there! I’m Alejandro Javier Abreu, Cuban/Salvadoran from Miami, Florida! I’m currently an Architecture Major here at Syracuse University, with intentions on pursuing an interdisciplinary Ph.D. degree in biological sciences and architecture design. Quite odd - I listen to classical music when I’m designing, EDM when I’m working out or need a mood booster, and lots of Alternative Indie / Contemporary R&B. I love talking about life experiences, political and social issues, and about space exploration! See you soon at the RC!

Andrew Hamann, Student Graphic Designer

Hi folx! My name is Andrew. I'm a Computer Science major in the College of Engineering and Computer Science with a focus in Human Computer Interaction (HCI). Sooo, essentially when I'm not crying over my keyboard during coding projects, I'm thinking about WHY I cry over my keyboard. To remedy this cycle, I love music and Netflix. Some music favorites as of writing this are Daniel Caesar, YEBBA, Vulfpeck, and Snarky Puppy; and for Netflix, Maniac, Sense8, and Altered Carbon. Come by the RC to say hi!

Bea Fry, Student Assistant

What’s up! I’m Bea and am a Food Studies and International Relations double major with a Spanish minor. I’m hella into talking about the intersection of social justice and food - catch me working toward afro-American foodway reclamation someday! I love discovering new music (my current fav is Nezi Momodu – check them out!), practicing my yoga inversions, and chillin’ with my fish (hey, dogs aren’t allowed on South…).  I adore meeting new people, so come by the RC sometime and say hi!

Berri Wilmore, Student Assistant

Howdy! I'm Berri and I am a freshman Communications and Rhetorical Studies major, and I hope to go into advertising post-college. Outside of school, I am the secretary for I Am That Girl, and I do a radio show every Friday from 4-5 PM called Soft Serv Radio on (shameless plug!). I also love making art, going to live music events, and cooking - although I don't get to do much of it here at school. I I'm looking forward to meeting all of y'all at the new Resource Center!

José Sánchez, Student Graphic Designer

Hi all! My name is José and I’m a fifth year architecture student minoring in Visual Culture. I was originally born in Peru and moved to South Florida shortly after; as you might imagine, the weather here was quite a surprise. Currently in my thesis year, I’ve been growing interested in art practices, pop culture, and digital media. I’m a fan of conspiracy theories, video games, and animation. Looking forward to seeing you at the RC!

Nicole Aramboles, Student Assistant

Hi all! My name is Nicole and I’m currently majoring in Communication and Rhetorical Studies. I’m not sure what exactly I want to do with that just yet, but I know I’d like my career to center around social justice advocacy. When I’m not drowning in homework, I’m either playing Sims, at the RC, or meeting with my organization SASSE (Students Advocating Sexual Safety and Empowerment.) Stop by the RC to say hi and trade cute animal pics with me!

Quincy Nolan, Student Assistant

Aside from working at the LGBT Resource Center I am also the President of Pride Union, Chair of Diversity Affairs for Student Association, Editor in Chief of the The OutCrowd, Social Media Manger for the Kumquat, a VPA Peer Mentor, and the Communication Intern for the Community Foundation of Central New York. After graduation I will be attending the University of Glasgow to get my masters in Media and Communication.
