Discussion Groups at Syracuse University

The LGBT Resource Center sponsors a number of discussion groups to connect LGBTQA students, to enhance dialogue, and to further explore issues relevant and important to members of the LGBTQA community.

Fusion is a discussion group for LGBTQ students, faculty, and staff of color.  Meets every other week on Thursday evenings at 5:30 PM at the LGBT Resource Center.  Spring 2013 dates include:  January 17 & 31, February 14 & 28, March 21, April 4 & 25.  E-mail lgbt@syr.edu with any additional questions!

New 2 'Quse is a discussion group for students who are new to SU and/or the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally (LGBTQA) campus community.  Meets every week on Monday evenings at 5:30 PM at the LGBT Resource Center.  E-mail lgbt@syr.edu for more information!

Trans*Cuse is a discussion group for transgender, students, faculty, staff as well as their partners and close allies.  Meets every other week on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 PM at the LGBT Resource Center.  Spring 2013 dates include: January 15 & 29, February 12 & 26, March 19, April 2 & 23.  E-mail lgbt@syr.edu with any additional questions!

Let's Be Queer: A Queer Women's Discussion Group is a place for those who are woman-identified to come together to discuss issues relevant to the intersection of being queer and women.  Co-facilitated by Lauren Adamski (lbadamsk@syr.edu) and Lindsay Ferguson (lgfergus@syr.edu).  Meetings occur every other Tuesday at 6:00 PM at the LGBT Resource Center.  Spring 2013 dates include:  February 5 & 19, March 5 & 26, April 9.

Cross Q: Connecting Allies Across Identities is a discussion group where students, staff and faculty can engage in conversations around marginalized genders and sexualities while addressing intersections of other social identities.  Cross Q meets every other Thursday at 6 PM at the LGBT Resource Center.  Spring 2013 dates include:  February 7 & 21, March 7 & 28, April 11.  Co-facilitated by Chase Catalano (djcatala@syr.edu) and Tiffany Gray (tmgray01@syr.edu).
