FOUNDATION AWARDS Do you know of someone who has worked hard to accomplish great things in the LGBT community at Syracuse University? Foundation Award nominations may be submitted until midnight on Sunday, April 1st . We offer awards for outstanding undergraduate student, outstanding graduate student, outstanding faculty member, outstanding staff member, and outstanding university department or organization.

QUEER YEAR IN REVIEW SLIDESHOW
We are encouraging and accepting the submission of pictures for this year's Queer Year in Review slide show to be shown at the banquet. If you have any pictures of LGBT students or events that you'd like to see on the big screen, please e-mail them to lgbt@syr.edu by April 8th, 2007.


Sex-Esteem
 


Sex-Esteem is a R.A.P.E. Center peer education group geared toward creating opportunities for students to engage in meaningful discussions about responsible and respectful sexuality and relationships. "Environmental Injustice and the Artist Response to Hurricane Katrina"
 


COMMUNITY FOLK ART CENTER PRESENTS: "Environmental Injustice and the Artist Response to Hurricane Katrina"--Photographic Exhibition Features Images from New Orleans Based Artists. The exhibition will be on view from March 3rd through April 21st, 2007. There will be a reception on Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a special panel discussion with the artists and guest curator. For more information about the exhibition and events, please call the Community Folk Art Center at 442-2230.

National Center for Transgender Equality Awarded $80,000 Grant
 


National Center for Transgender Equality Awarded $80,000 Grant to Fund New "Privacy and Documentation Project.? NCTE has been awarded a significant two-year grant to start a much needed Privacy and Documentation Project. NCTE's Privacy and Documentation Project will expand upon the work we are already doing around the REAL ID Act, the new privacy rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), employment I-9 "no match" letters, and the tightening of identification document rules and the rapid loosening of privacy protections.


LEAD WITH PRIDE Campus Pride Summer Leadership Camp
 


LEAD WITH PRIDE Campus Pride Summer Leadership Camp July 24-29, 2007, Towson University. Campus Pride organizes the first-ever summer leadership camp for LGBT and Ally undergraduate student leaders from campuses across the country. The five day annual camp will be hosted by the Queer Student Union at Towson University from Tuesday, July 24 to Sunday, July 29, 2007. The camp focuses on key leadership skills, campus organizing and how to build effective coalitions for change. Camp registration includes all housing, food and camp supplies.
