Exploring Systems of Oppression and Possibilities for Liberation through a Critical Examination of Orlando

This day-long workshop offers participants the opportunity to begin to process and heal from this summer's events at Pulse in Orlando. Participants will build affirming relationships within and across their own identities; analyze the ways in which racism, queerphobia, transphobia, toxic masculinity, and other systems of oppression enable personal violence; and strategize about actions to promote social justice on this campus and beyond.

This workshop is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 7th, from 9 AM - 5 PM in the Peter Graham Scholarly Commons at Bird Library. To register, please email lgbt@syr.edu.
